Alex’s overarching goal is to impart the joy of making music with all his students, and firmly believes in positive reinforcement, meticulousness, and self-challenge. He began teaching at age fifteen as a music director, built on a desire to pass on lessons learned from his own teachers. He helps students utilize existing strengths and apply new skills directly into performance. Also a musical director, audition coach, teaching artist, and pianist.
Alex currently offers private voice lessons and audition prep sessions. He has 7 years of experience teaching children, teenagers, professionals, and non-traditional adult students with little prior experience singing.
His primary focus is incorporating traditional components of vocal technique, ear training, and musicality directly into performance, extending to confidence-building and repertoire selection. He also works with early singer-songwriters on preparing their original material for EPs and demos. Click above for list of services, location, and rate details.
